Sales Executive – Full-Time or Part-Time 

Location: MJ’s Menswear, Derry
Contract Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (hours pro rata depending on successful candidate)
Salary: Competitive hourly rate + Commission on suit sales
Start Date: Immediate


 

The Role

We are seeking a Sales Executive to join our Derry team. This role can be full-time or part-time, depending on the successful candidate’s availability and experience. The position is customer-facing, requiring proven ability to sell suits and provide expert styling advice.

You will play a key role in ensuring every customer leaves our store with confidence in their purchase, while contributing to sales growth and maintaining MJ’s reputation for quality service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring every client feels valued and supported.
  • Confidently sell suits and formalwear, tailoring recommendations to customer needs.
  • Conduct fittings and provide styling advice for Communion, weddings, and formal occasions.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets.
  • Maintain product knowledge across all ranges and communicate features/benefits effectively.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with merchandising, stock replenishment, and maintaining store presentation standards.
  • (Desirable) Support marketing initiatives, including occasional involvement in social media content creation.
  • Uphold MJ’s brand values of authenticity, professionalism, and community trust.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in suit sales or formalwear retail is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver tailored customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Confidence in fittings and styling advice.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and peak retail seasons.
  • Team player with a proactive, professional attitude.
